We Can Help You Move Past The Road Blocks
Ready to Stand By Your Side
Our Firm Philosophy
It’s very simple. We take on only those clients whose claim or defense we feel to be just. We work hard to arrive at a fair resolution early on and we put our clients’ interests ahead of our own.

How We Represent Property Owners
In most cases we work with public adjusters, taking over when they can go no further with your claim. We charge the owners of the property, who have been denied on a meritorious claim, no money at all. I advance all costs of the litigation. When we win (i.e., the insurance company agrees or is ordered to pay the claim) the insurance company must then also pay my legal fees and costs over and above what is owed to the property owner. If there is no recovery, for any reason, I charge no money.

Case Examples
Fire Damage

Homeowner was making fried cheese for himself and his 12 year old son. Sets pan to heat on the stove and sits down on the couch to wait. Awakens to the smell of smoke and finds the pot of cooking oil on fire. He puts it out, but the house has significant smoke damage. Insurer denies the claim, accusing homeowner of intentional conduct – the use of an accelerant (arson). Not at all true. We file suit, take deposition of insurance company’s arson investigator – who cannot defend the accusation of arson – and obtain a confidential settlement in the amount it cost to completely rebuild the damage and for the family to live elsewhere during the time of repairs. Legal fees and costs again paid by insurance company.
Water Damage

Homeowners experience a “back-up” of sewer water from the drainage plumbing system in their home. Insurance company adjusts claim and pays out $6,000. We filed suit against the carrier and 9 months later the case is settled amicably with the homeowners being paid an extra $100,000 by the insurance carrier. Insurance carrier also pays our legal fees over and above what is owed to the homeowners.
Copper Supply Lines
Homeowners notice water emerging from baseboards in various parts of the house. Plumber determines that a copper pipe under the floor is leaking and the water is escaping into the wall cavities. Insurer adjusts loss and pays $20,000. We file suit and 9 months later the homeowners are paid the remainder of their damages by the insurer: an extra $55,000.00. Insurer also pays our legal costs and fees over and above what is owed to homeowners.
“Pilot Error”
Homeowner attempts to flush out his drainage plumbing lines with a garden hose down a vent stack on the roof. Water backs up in the lines and floods into his house. Homeowner’s insurance carrier denies the claim. We filed suit and claim was paid in full (flooring, baseboards, drywall, paint) because damage caused by ordinary negligence is a covered cause of loss.
Hurricane Damage

Hurricanes Andrew / Wilma / Frances / Jeanne / Matthew / Irma
Typical case involves roof damage where insurer declines to pay for replacement of roof. After litigation, and once established that the roof cannot be repaired properly (whether to meet code or to match the original roof tiles), insurer pays for replacement of entire roof.
